Custom apparel and staff uniform programs

Custom apparel at ViCES Studio covers fully custom cut-and-sew garments built from tech packs, and ongoing staff uniform programs that need to be sized, restocked and reordered season after season. We handle fabric sourcing, fit sampling, grading, decoration and production, so a uniform looks like the brand and still survives daily service.

How we approach it

Cut-and-sew work starts with a tech pack: silhouette, fabric weight and composition, trims, construction details, tolerances and a graded size run. Fit samples come before volume, because a garment that photographs well and fits badly gets left in the stockroom.

Uniform programs carry a second requirement — repeatability. Sizing curves, reorder minimums, colour consistency across dye lots and replacement stock are planned from the first run, so a hotel or restaurant can add staff in month nine without the shirt looking different from the one issued in month one.

Questions

Apparel & uniforms: common questions

Can you produce staff uniforms for a hotel or restaurant?
Yes. Uniform programs including cardigans, button-ups, aprons, polos and workwear are a core part of the studio's hospitality and hotel work, sized across a graded run and reordered on an ongoing basis.
Do you make fully custom garments or decorate blanks?
Both are possible, but the default is fully custom cut-and-sew built from a tech pack, with fabric, trims and construction specified rather than chosen from a blank catalogue.
How does fit sampling work?
A fit sample is produced against the tech pack and reviewed on the people who will actually wear it. Revisions are made and a graded size run is approved before production begins.
Can we reorder the same uniform later?
Yes. Reorders are held to the approved production sample, with colour consistency across dye lots planned from the first run so later stock matches the original delivery.
How long does a uniform program take?
Most programs run four to eight weeks from approved design, with fit sampling adding time when a new silhouette is being developed from scratch.
